Nodding thoughtfully, Edna concludes that Sarah's high resonance is probably due to the light affinity. There are four elements among seraphim—fire, water, earth, and wind—but it's not uncommon for something else to pop up. For instance, she still isn't sure about Symonne. Even though she's also a seraph, Symonne uses illusions that Edna's never seen anyone else use before. ❛  I can use healing artes as well, so at least we're both prepared for that should one of us end up exhausting ourself.  ❜ Edna mainly specializes in slowing down the enemy with her earth artes, but her healing does come in handy for emergencies. If Sarah only knows how to heal, then it's for the best that Edna takes on a more offensive role if they ever need to battle. She hopes there won't be a need to battle, though. She doesn't want more work to do. Very troublesome for a lady. ❛  How long before we get there?  ❜ she asks idly, seeing the forest scenery change to a town. Judging from the ocean in the distance, maybe a port town?
And speaking of port towns... She is very quiet at Sarah's next words, feeling something ache inside her heart. Edna knows Sarah didn't mean to do it, but those words sting very deeply. ❛  ...Right,  ❜ she murmurs, her eyes softening sadly. A port town... As a pirate, her brother must've been to many of those during his adventures before he... ❛  That's what I want too.  ❜ It's not that she doesn't want to see her friends again, but they aren't the ones she's waited over a thousand years for to reunite with. And now, she can't reunite with him at all anymore. Never again. She wonders what it'd feel like for herself; that feeling Sarah mentioned. It's probably something she'd never feel now that Onii-chan is gone.

Snapping out of it, Edna decides to not ask and focuses back on the conversation. She quietly listens, already knowing that Sarah's in love. It sounds so obvious. Going on a trip to make sure he's okay because she 'cares' about him. To Edna, that is love: sort of like how her brother raised her with love, but she knows the love Sarah feels is ... different. Edna has always felt familial love, so she's quite unhelpful here—but nevertheless, she understands what it feels to love someone. She loves Onii-chan, and maybe even... ❛  You weren't thinking at all; just doing what felt right to you?  ❜ she suggests softly. In the same vein, despite Onii-chan being dead, Edna still has another person to wait for. Waiting has always hurt her back then, but now she doesn't mind. She was never required to wait for him in the first place, but it didn't feel ... as lonely whenever he visited, even if he annoyed her sometimes. It felt ... right, but she isn't sure if she can put a label on the feeling yet. Her relationship with him isn't quite like Sarah's relationship with Luci, and it's definitely not like her relationship with Onii-chan—but this isn't about herself. It's about Sarah. ❛  Well, if you've already come this far, then see it to the end. This 'Luci' will be happy to know that you're so worried about him.  ❜

Listening to Edna, Sarah concluded that wherever she was from, it sounded very different and very similar to here. Pondering about what she could possibly mean by 'high resonance', was it possible that it meant something like magical aptitude? If so, then perhaps that was truly the reason that Sarah could see the other girl. How strange to think that nobody else could, but... maybe the warriors of light would be able to see her? "Mmm... I suppose you could say that. I have been practicing the art of healing magic. It's a light element and I'm not good at all with spells revolving darkness. I can't cast something as simple as fire or lightning, but if you ever are hurt, I can patch you up like new!" Though she had never tried it before either, a part of her wanted to try using her voice as well. There were many tales of bards in the library using their melodic voices in battle along with their tools of the trade - harps and lutes and some even used bows and arrows. Casting things like Cure and Raise was about all she could manage at the moment, but she hoped to learn more someday. "Yes, I suppose it should. I think you'll like them when we reach Elfheim. They've been Cornelia's friends for generations - longer than I have been alive."
Edna's pause didn't go unnoticed by Sarah. Did she miss her friends wherever they were? Did a terrible ache shake her bones? Her heart? Did the anxiety threaten to consume her whole? No... Edna said they were okay so she trusted in this girl's words and said, "I'm sure that wherever they are, when you return home, I am sure that they will all be delighted to see you again. There's no greater feeling than being reunited with someone you have not seen in a long time." That's what she believed anyways. After all, here the two were en-route to Elfheim where Sarah was off to see someone near and dear to her that she hadn't seen in what felt like centuries.

"It's more than that. It's different than the other suitors that have come calling." Sarah shook her head. "They were only in it for my father's kingdom and the power. They were never... never calling for love." Casting her own gaze outside, the forest soon gave way to open skies and the clatter of the carriage wheels was heard through the walls. They were now at the port town south of the kingdom. From here they would take a boat to the southern most part of the continent and then journey to Elfheim. The carriage clattered through the streets and she could see all manners of peoples moving about, hawking wares, spreading news of the warriors exploits and more. Soon they would reach the port and take her father's boat, but Sarah wasn't quite ready to leave the comfort of the cabin just yet. "N-no... It's to make sure he's okay because I care about him." It was so easy talking to her. "Politically, it is the right thing to do, but I wasn't thinking on such matters. I was just... thinking with my heart is all."
